3. Funding

It's time to get some ETH deposited into your wallet! This part may become a bit tricky, since there is no one size fits all solution, but we'll share a few methods people generally use, without zooming in all too much on the details.

We recommend choosing an option that allows you to directly deposit to zkSync Era, since there are extra costs involved in having to bridge funds over from one network to the other. If you're forced to bridge, then there are ways to minimize such costs. In such circumstances, make sure to read the Intermezzo in step 4 first before making any moves.

The fork in the road

Discovery 4 "At some point you'll have to choose your own path and embrace whatever successes and failures come your way. It's here where your ability to respond gets tested and where your sense of response-ability begins."

How much should I deposit?

If you're here for the mint, check out the Overview for the price and consider some transaction fees to incur when buying ETH, getting this on zkSync Era and the actual minting.

The transaction costs for the actual minting will likely range between $0.05 and $1.00, but we can't estimate how much the fees will be in total for you. This depends on a variety of factors like (geo)location, time, currency and payment method used. For this you will have to do your own due diligence.
