Style

In Rarity we described how there are different class types, each having their own distinct characteristics and use cases. The Style is the trait describing the artistic expression of the NFT.

Black & White The Common cards are made in this style and will be the first to be eligible for art commissions (e.g. requesting a Hand-Colored version). This includes upgrading the card to an entirely new rarity class.

Colored These juxtapose the black and white variants. They haven't been colored by our hands, but have been by AI. The Rare cards are in this style.

Semi-Colored These are colored by us using Photoshop. In this style we tend to highlight the important features of the character in question. Someone who requests a semi-colored version will have the option to indicate what they'd like to see highlighted and will also get a speed-painting uploaded on our YouTube channel. This is in a way a proof of legitimacy, but also to see the progress and thought process behind every step of the creation. Most of the Epics are semi-colored and give a taste of how we approach this.

Hand-Colored These are colored by us using Photoshop, but fully. Those who request a hand-colored version of their Black & White NFT will be able to express more in detail how they'd like the NFT to turn out, but can also leave it entirely in our hands. A speed-painting will also be uploaded for authenticity. The Legendary cards are already Hand-Colored and show the Black & White version when there's no interaction with the card and the colored variant when there is.

Animated This variant is only available for the most rare class of them all: Exotic. They are a sequence of similar images, creating an interesting and lively visual. Hovering over the card makes the animation come to life.

These are the styles we currently have, but there are other ideas worth exploring...not just visually 👂.

Transmutation "Dear cyborgs, do you value the time and effort put in by the human working for you?"

Effect customization

There are also small parameter changes in the global effects of these cards. You'll for instance notice that Legendaries have a particular breathing effect applied to them.

We'll probably see to it that customization of these parameters are also somewhat possible to request. For more information on this, see the Dynamic section (in particular: HTML).
