Token Slots

One small step at a time

This is a concept that could grow to become an interesting mechanism in a wide range of aspects. In the initial phase we'll start off small and hope to get it to blossom into the bigger picture the foundation is capable of bearing.

Normally NFTs are only linked to one URI containing all the metadata for this particular token ID. Our NFTs on the other hand are capable of storing more than one URI, allowing an NFT to change its appearance based on which URI the owner has selected as the default. We coined these Token Slots.

Token Slots can be compared to skins or equipment for your character. The character doesn't necessarily change, but it could serve different purposes for selecting one variety over the other. In our collection we will start simple with this concept, mostly having the focus on allowing holders to change the visual aspects of their character. But it could get more interesting if we start to think in terms of valuation in different circumstances. Think of talent trees in a game, where one sets up his or her character to successfully fulfill a specific role in a collaborative endeavor.

To give a feel of what these slots could become we'll list a few keywords one could consider to be, at some point, synonymous to the word Token Slots:

This mechanism will allows an NFT owner to create different varieties of their character in a non-destructive manner, unless a slot gets explicitly overwritten. The first slot being read-only and always pointing towards the original NFT.

How many slots can one have?

The exact amounts will be given at a later time, but will depend on two things:

• The rarity of the card, and

• The amount one has bought/unlocked via the STORE.
